Most of us have movement patterns that have become well-established by the time we are adults. Injuries, discomfort and pain are often the result of the way we move. Movement patterns may also be impacted by physical trauma from an accident or stress.

I work from the premise that pain and injuries can be corrected by learning to use new patterns of movement. Rather than "fixing" your body, I teach you to use your body differently, and this improves the way you move and feel. This is much more than temporary relief.

Personalized movement therapy in my Germantown studio. Through one-on-one sessions, I'll work with you to understand your movement patterns and address pain and mobility issues.

I bring movement therapy directly to you throughout the Philadelphia area, working with you in the spaces where you live and move. Perfect for those with limited mobility or busy schedules, in-home sessions allow me to observe your movement patterns in real time where discomfort occurs, helping to set you up for success in your own environment.

About Susan

My experience is rooted in my professional career in modern dance where I came to understand the importance of studying movement, not just for dancers but for everyone.

I'm trained in multiple movement methodologies including Laban Movement Analysis, Zero Balancing, the Feldenkrais Method, Kestenberg Movement Profile, Pilates, and the Franklin Method. These complementary approaches allow me to address movement patterns from multiple perspectives.

In private sessions, I evaluate your history and patterns and use a variety of methods to work with you to retrain your specific movement patterns. These methods can be effective by themselves or can complement other therapies such as chiropractic work, physical therapy or massage.

Saturday Morning Class

I offer a virtual class Saturday mornings 9:30-10:30am. The class focuses on moving in a mindful way, stretching and strengthening from deep within, creating and welcoming new patterns.
